Noko are a design agency who specialise in insight-led usability, interactive design, conversion optimisation and digital development expertise. They approached us specifically for creative help in updating their online presence. Their existing website was very old and they did not feel it reflected the projects and services they were currently offering.
A 'mobile first' approach
Our approach was simple: we created a responsive layout using a clean, simple template structure. We gave particular focus to the use of typography and moved away from standard system fonts. The introduction of web fonts changed the look of the site completely; this, combined with strong, succinct content and the use of icons to identify key services, made information accessible and the site easily navigable. We structured our designs to fit around the bootstrap framework and then supplied PSD files to Noko ready for their development.
